We are an affiliate of The Blues Foundation, a larger national organization that sets up by-laws and rules that we must adhere to. Our organization is made up of a Board of Directors and many volunteers to do the work so that our organization can fulfill it's mission, to preserve and promote the blues as a musical art form. To promote the blues, we sponsor and support  many events throughout the year. For example, we run an open jam every Sunday where musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments and play. We provide the room, PA, drum kit and all amplifiers. Musicians need only to bring their instrument and sign up to play. Most Sunday's there is usually some food or munchies provided by one of our members making it a real home-like atmosphere.

In addition to the jam, we promote concerts that are usually multi-band events and may even contain a national headliner that we book and pay for. These concert events are wonderful vehicles to expose members and guests to great music.

Another popular event is the annual talent competition where several local bands compete for a spot at a national competition held in Memphis, TN. The winning local band is then sponsored by us financially to represent our local blues chapter in the national event in Memphis. We are proud to say that our bands have placed in the top 10 providing a great source of pride for the Lehigh Valley and our association chapter.

To fund our efforts, we generate revenue in several different ways including: memberships, our jam, concert events and merchandize sales. Therefore it is important for us to get the support of our members so that we may grow and flourish as an organization. Therefore, your membership and support is very important to us, if you are not yet a member, please consider joining our organization and help us out by volunteering and getting involved.
